Camille L. Miller, Executive Director
NLBP Is One Year Old This Month!
Thank you for believing in this community and making the investment in membership. In one year we have increased to 60 members in 5 states and we are quickly on our way to 100 (hopefully before fall). Our community has grown through the love and collaboration of members like you that understand the value of a like-minded community and contribute daily to helping each other in building our businesses without competing but through support that allows each of us to rise. I am truly grateful to be a part of this awesome group of people and blessed to find my purpose in working with members daily. I know this community will flourish and be a real voice not only to each other but nationally in public policy and education. I know in the next year we will grow our numbers and make real change in the perception of natural health and wellness both as a lifestyle and a prestigious profession. I thank you for your continued contribution to the community and for being an important part of this journey!
Executive Leadership Committee
Are you outgoing? Are you looking to be recognized as a leader in your holistic practice or industry? Do you enjoy connecting people? Would you like to gain leadership experience? Do you love the work of NLBP and want to share that love? ?Can you organize events and be an ambassador for our community?
We are looking for one-of-a-kind, amazing Regional Leaders (or co-leaders) to help us build out areas of NLBP. Our regional Leaders are also members of our elite Executive Leadership Committee and will be the voice of our members and help guide NLBP as a professional organization. With the help of area leaders the organization can grow faster and be more of a voice for the holistic professional community. Time investment is minimal (less than 5 hours a month) and the awards are great. For more information go to: http://www.thenaturallife.org/become-a-regional-leader.html
FaceBook Members Only Group
We have started a closed group on FaceBook for member discussions. Please sign up and use this sacred place as a way to voice concerns, discuss topics, and reach out to fellow members for daily encouragement and support. It is difficult working alone and it’s sometimes nice to have a community of like-minded professional we can all reach out to for help and encouragement in those times of frustration and equally nice to share our successes with the entire community. Our Monday calls have been such a great success for so many I wanted to try and create that same support at any time of the month. Join here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/269489150169117/
If you haven't already joined our open FB business page please follow us there too: https://www.facebook.com/thenaturallifeorganization/
Calling All Authors
We are seeing a great amount of authors in our community and I’d like to help market the works of our members plus encourage more to try the experience of writing. If you are an author of a book please send us a short blurb, a cover picture, and a link for people to purchase your work. I will start a page on the website called Authors Alley.
I’d also like to have a discussion panel about the process etc for those members thinking about becoming an author to be able to ask questions and get help in their journey. So, if you are in the process or a successful author and would like to be a part of the panel please let me know so we can get a meeting date together.
Small Business Development Center @ RVCC
If you live or work in Hunterdon/Somerset Counties of New Jersey and would like to have one-on-one business counseling the Small Business Development Center at RVCC has contracted me to counsel holistic business owners for FREE but you must call Allison at (908) 526-1200 x8516 to set up your appointment. Space is limited to 8 sessions of FREE counseling per month so get your spot today! If you are in a different region and think this is a service you'd like to see from your SBDC contact your local center and maybe they will consider the same service.
If you want basic administrative technology assistance like uploading, downloading, submitting events, coupons, logos, video, directory listings, social media, writing, editing, simple website design, etc. We can help. I have enlisted my daughter, Julia this summer to help members with basic technology needs. She will work from home for $10/hour paid directly to her for her services. This is not a member benefit but a paid service for contract work. A few members have asked for assistance in areas beyond what we can provide each member for free. If you have interest please contact the office directly at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will put you in contact with her. If the work is too complicated I will put you in touch with someone else that can help you. We have members that do technical work and online marketing with high expertise if needed (Julia is merely administrative).
100 Members Campaign
We still need your help in introducing new like-minded professionals to our community. For each new member a current Charter Member introduces to NLBP he/she will receive a $25 credit towards their next renewal when the new introduction joins us. There is no limit as to how many members you can get credit for as long as they are a new introduction to the group. There are so many events coming up all you need to do is bring a friend or colleague with you that might be interested in learning more and register their name with us (just adding their name to our mailing list is not credit worthy).
We have created a NLBP name tag for our members to proudly wear at our events and wherever else a name tag is needed (conferences, networking, business meetings etc.) The tags are being created through a third party supplier and purchases can be made directly through them. http://www.thenaturallife.org/member-name-tags.html
If you haven’t already filled out our member survey please take 2 minutes to help us serve you better. http://web.thenaturallife.org/External/WCPages/WCSurveys/Survey.aspx?SurveyID=1
If you had a coupon on our website please check to see if it’s still active. Many members had coupons that ended. Let’s get those updated.

As we strive to position ourselves as an elite professional community it is important that members display our logo on their website and various promotional materials that show your professional credentials so we can establish membership as an important and exclusive group. Please display our logo with the “Proud Member” tag line.
